How To Smoke on a Gas Grill
Instructions
1. Preheat Your Grill
Preheat your gas grill to 375°F or higher.
2. PEEL - POP - POKE
Peel off the label, pop open the top like a soda, and poke a small 1/4 inch vent hole near the bottom of the can.
3. Place on the Heat
Place the can directly over the hottest burner with the top opening facing up.
4. Let the Smoke Roll
After about 10–15 minutes, the can will begin producing smoke.
5. Grill Like Normal
Cook your food as desired while the smoke adds rich wood-fired flavor. Remember - the longer the cook/smoke time, the smokier the flavor.
Pro Tips
For larger grills or heavier smoke flavor, use the Double Barrel technique with two cans spaced apart as much as possible for a wider smoking area.
If the can flames, reduce the air flow on your grill and the can will cool and begin to smoke again.
After the grill and can(s) have completely cooled, the can(s) can be safely disposed of or recycled.
For best results, use a new single can or double barrel cans for each grilling. However, it may be possible to reuse a can if the cook/smoke time was short.
